Tall Pine trees which was beautifully lined at Ninth Mile Mirik, on the way to Darjeeling is now cut down ruthlessly. These tall green pine trees on the road side gave picturesque view and was enjoyed by travellers.
The lined up pine trees looked exceptionally beautiful and soothing to the eyes of the passerby and was appreciated by tourists and travellers. These trees were planted decades ago on the land of Thurboo tea Estate along with Tea Bushes.
Now these pine trees have been cut down and no one is concerned. Our natural resources are slowly getting destroyed and looted in the name of development and we the citizen of Mirik have turned blind eye.
Pine tree is the special feature of Mirik as Mirik is famous only for Sumendu Lake and Pine trees and if we allow to cut down pine trees which gives scenic beauty to Mirik than what will remain, CAN WE THINK ONCE.
Wake up please… support needed…urgent… comment and share.
